What is a professional organizer?
A professional organizer is a specialist in using tested principles and expertise to enhance the lives of clients through the design of custom organizing systems and the teaching of organizing skills.
Do you sell products?If we believe that furniture or accessories are necessary for an optimal solution, we will include them in the proposal. We do not represent any manufacturers so our criteria for choosing what to propose will only depend on what your needs are.
Do you offer interior design services?That’s a great differentiator of Design2fit versus other organization companies. One of the owners of Design2fit is an architect so it is our goal to provide a tasteful organizing solution.
Do I need to be present while the work is being done?It depends on the type of services needed. Since most of the jobs involve eliminating clutter, which requires discarding, a person who can make decisions on what to discard or not has to be present at least on the clean-up stages.
Am I responsible of discarding the unwanted items?We can take care of all discarded items including furniture, paint cans, tires, recyclable items, etc. If you live in an area that is appropriate for a garage sale, we will organize the sale for you.
Do you clean the spaces?Organizing and cleaning go hand-in-hand. Depending on the conditions of the room to be organized, a cleaning lady might be included in the proposal. Design2fit will always leave the area organized and clean.
What if the area your company organized gets messed up again?It is very important that your space stay organized after we’re done with the work, so that the benefits of our services are long-lasting. That’s why our services include training our customers in how to keep the area organized. However, we understand that there might be times when things get out of control and the spaces get messy again. Thus, after the job is completed, we will give you a rate for maintenance services for you to call us when you need us to come back. On the maintenance visit, we will find out why the place is getting disorganized and make any changes to the organizing system or go over the training session again.
Can you guarantee my house will sell for more after it has been staged?There is no guarantee that your house will sell for more, but research has shown that houses that are staged sell faster. In the staging process, we will focus on the parts of the house that are more important for most buyers, so this naturally should increase the value of the property.
